“Then Peter said unto them, Repent, and be baptized every one of you in the name of Jesus Christ for the remission of sins, and ye shall receive the gift of the Holy Ghost. 41. Then they that gladly received his word were baptized …”
Acts 8:16 –
“(For as yet he (Holy Spirit) was fallen upon none of them: only they were baptized in the name of the Lord Jesus.)”
Acts 10: 47,48 –
“Can any man forbid water, that these should not be baptized, which have received the Holy Ghost as well as we? 48. And he commanded them to be baptized in the name of the Lord.”
[Earliest Greek Text say, "in the name of Jesus Christ".]
Acts 19:4,5 –
“Then said Paul, John verily baptized with the baptism of repentance, saying unto the people, that they should believe on him which should come after him, that is, on Christ Jesus. 5. When they heard this, they were baptized in the name of the Lord Jesus.”

we took on His NAME in Baptism!!!]

“Go ye therefore and teach all nations, baptizing them in the name of the

The Jews of Jesus day sought to stone Jesus, for Claiming to be Jehovah Himself!!

When the Holy Ghost was Poured Out on the Day of Pentecost …
People wanted to know how they could receive the Holy Ghost as well …
Peter rose to the occasion and declared:
“Repent, and be baptized every one of you in the name of Jesus Christ for the remission of sins, and ye shall receive the gift of the Holy Ghost. For the promise is unto you, and to your children, and to all that are afar off, even as many as the Lord our God shall call.”
